The Ararat Park Hyatt Moscow

While visiting Moscow, I had the opportunity to do a site visit at the Ararat Park Hyatt Moscow. This 5-star luxury hotel is adjacent to The Bolshoi Theatre, in the center of Moscow and not far from Red Square. The hotel features 208 rooms, including 29 suites – a few which have incredible terraces and views!

When I first entered the hotel, I was surprised by how modern it looked – glass and stainless steel everywhere. My first impression was…“it looked like a cruise ship!” But those first impressions dissipated quickly when I had the opportunity to visit various rooms and suites. They were simply wonderful! What I most liked about the Ararat Park Hyatt Moscow rooms was the… atmosphere. In many rooms you felt as if you were staying in a spa. Soft adjustable lighting, modern comfortable leather furniture, natural elements, and subtle details throughout. I immediately felt comfortable and relaxed in these rooms – and isn’t that what a luxury hotel is all about?

A few of the suites have large terraces… with incredible views. The suites range in size from 70 square meters to 125 square meters. The first few photos above were taken in The Winter Garden Suite with Terrace and the Penthouse Suite. My favorite was a Park Terrace Suite – The last photo above is the view from this suite. The terrace is huge; a great spot to entertain, or simply relax.

In all suites there is a spacious work desk and complimentary wireless Internet access. Also, many of the modern amenities world travelers seek, such as an iPod docking station, a Illy coffee machine and a state-of-the-art room management system. The bathrooms are luxurious, all with two sinks, heated floors (need that in Russia), a rain shower, and signature amenities from Blaise Mautin. There are many options available for interconnecting rooms!

On the first floor of the hotel is the Cafe Ararat. This restaurant was completely restored in the 1960’s. The owner of the hotel is Armenian and you can find his influence in the Cafe Ararat. Marble columns, traditional carvings, and the best of traditional Armenian cuisine – delivered directly from Armenia several times a week make this restaurant the choice of sophisticated travelers. Also on the ground floor, you’ll find Enoki, a modern, minimalist Japanese restaurant offering a great selection of fresh fish. There’s also the Park Restaurant and the Neglinka Lounge.

My favorite dining location was the Conservatory Lounge & Bar. It’s located on the 10th floor (a couple of pictures are above). It features premium beverages and cocktails coupled with pastries and light meals. One of the best features is the view. How close is this hotel to Red Square? Check out the bottom photo taken from the rooftop Conservatory Lounge & Bar.

The hotel has an impressive Health Club & Spa – The Quantum Spa & Health Club – including a heated indoor pool, dry sauna, steam bath and spacious Roman bath. A full spa can offer you many relaxing options.
